Drierite Dessicant

This anhydrous calcium sulfate dessicant has a cobaltous chloride indicator.
- Absorbs 6-10% of its weight in water, depending on relative humidity
- Drierite is an efficient drying agent giving visual indication of the progress of absorption and exhaustion.
Process:
- Drierite absorbs moisture
- Indicator color changes from blue to rose-red
Regeneration of calcium sulfate (and restoration of blue form of indicator) is accomplished by heating drierite, layered 1 granule deep, for 1 hour at 1200C.
