Automatic Shaker:
The automatic sand equivalency shaker is recommended for labs that perform the Sand Equivalency and Durability Index Test frequently.
Features:
- Motorized design
- 2 built in, pre-set timers; 45 seconds and 10 minutes
- An 8 inch throw at 175 CPM
- Consistent, repeatable action eliminating operator caused variations
Meets ASTM D2419; AASHTO T176.
Manual Shaker:
The manual spring type, hand shaker is more operator dependant than the automatic model.
Features:
- Cylinder mounting brackets suspended by 2 steel straps
- Manual oscillation of the cylinder to a preset mark on the case at the proper rate
- Digital counter to record stroke count
- Components mounted in a vinyl covered, plywood case with reinforced corners
