Kontes* Midi-Vap* Cyanide Distillation System

Complete distillation system includes everything required to simultaneously distill ten 50 ml samples. US EPA approved for these analyses: Total cyanide after distillation, cyanides amenable to chlorination, and weak acid dissociable cyanides.
System consists of 10-position heater block, water manifold, tubing (precut with vacuum quick-disconnect fittings) and 10 sets of borosilicate glassware (includes reactor head with inlet tube; cold-finger condenser; dispersion tube with coarse porosity frit; boiling tube and reaction tube-�both marked at 50 ml).

Heater block is protected with PTFE coating to resist acid corrosion; while PTFE-coated needle valves provide accurate control of each absorber tube position. Parallel water manifold delivers a constant flow of temperature-controlled water to each cold-finger position.

Overall dimensions without glassware (L x W x H): 16 x 24 x 5 in. (41 x 61 x 13 cm). Net weight: 15 lbs (6.8 kg).

Note: This reaction produces toxic HCN gas and should be performed under a well-ventilated fume hood.
