Thin Papers Grade 1 Chr
Thickness 0.18 mm. Flow rate (water) 130 mm/30 min. One of the thinnest papers, with medium flow rate. Smooth surface. Good resolution. Suitable for general analytical separations.
Thin Papers Grade 4 Chr
Thickness 0.21 mm. Flow rate 180 mm/30 min. Fastest thin paper. Recommended for routine and/or repetitive chromatography when loadings are relatively low. Smooth surface. Very suitable where speed is important and very high resolution is not required.
Thick Papers Grade 3MM Chr
Thickness 0.34 mm. Flow rate 130 mm/30 min. Relatively thick paper with medium wet strength. Smooth surface. Used extensively for both electrophoresis and for general chromatography. Most widely used blotting paper. After 1 Chr, the most widely used chromatography paper grade.
Thick Papers Grade 17 Chr
Thickness 0.92 mm. Flow rate 190 mm/30 min. Extremely thick chromatography paper suitable for the heaviest loadings. Very fast flow rate. Smooth surface. Highly absorbent (870 g of water per m2). Recommended for preparative paper chromatography and electrophoresis.
