Flexible-backed TLC plates (supplied in 20 x 20 cm size) offer you economy and convenience. Flexible plates can be cut with scissors to match individual separation requirements, making them ideal for applications that require rapid sample isolation or elution prior to other analytical techniques. Silica gel 60 A flexible plates exhibit similar selectivity to the glass-backed K6 plates and are widely applicable for moderately to strongly polar analytes. They are available on either aluminum or polyester backing material. Ion-exchange plates (DEAE - diethylaminoethyl tertiary amine) are used for anionic species and are available on polyester-backed material. Aluminum backing is particularly useful for applications requiring charring. Polyester-backed plates can be heated up to 110°C and are compatible with mobile phases containing strong acids or bases. Available with or without fluorescent indicator.
