Anion Exchangers DEAE and QA Celluloses
For Anion Exchange Chromatogrophy. The weakly basic anion exchangers are based on the diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) tertiary amine functional group. QA-52 is a strongly basic anion exchange medium containing quaternary amine groups.
. DE-23 (fibrous)
Allows fast flow rates especially after fines removal; suitable for negatively charged biopolymers.
. DE-32 (dry microgranular)
Similar performance characteristics as DE-52 after precycling.
. DE-51 (pre-swollen, microgranular)
. Similar to DE-52 but with lower overall net charge for proteins bearing a high negative charge and for nucleic acids; suitable for isocratic elution systems.
. DE-52 (pre-swollen, microgranular)
Probably the most widely used DEAE cellulose in the world; used for biopolymers with low to high negative charges; exhibits excellent resolution with good flow rates.
. DE-53 (pre-swollen, microgranular)
Partially quaternized DEAE anion exchanger, highly susstituted and with higher capacity than DE-52; can be used in series with DE-51 and DE-52 media.
. QA-52 (pre-swollen, microgranular) A strongly basic, quaternary amine bearing anion exchange medium, moderately substituted, and with high protein capacity; fully ionized and bears constant change under all pH conditions; excellent for high pH applications.
