Whatman*Express-Ion* Exchangers
The Express-Ion* range of high flow rate media is designed for use in industrial processes. The media is available in four variants, two being weak exchanger and two being strong exchanger. Advantages of the Express-Ion media include: high mechanical strength, excellent flow performance, reduced run times. Rapid kinetics, high resolution, good capacity and high throughput. Low non-specific interations allow for high recovery. Chemical stability allows for flexibility in choice of running conditions, including harsh CIP methods. Easy scale up, can be used at laboratory through to production scale.
.Express-Ion D
A weak anion exchange cellulose substituted with diethylamionethyl (DEAE) groups and recommended fo rseparation between pH 2 and pH 9.
.Express-Ion Q
A strong anion exchange cellulose having general applicabillity in separations requiring an anion exchange step, with the benefit of wide pH versatility. The N,N,N-trimethyl hydroxypropyl amine (quarternary amine) group is fully ionized through the pH range 2-12.
.Express-Ion C
A moderately acidic cation exchange cellulose. A weak ion exchanger recommended for separation between pH 4.5 and pH 10 to ensure the carboxymethyl functional group remains ionized.
.Express-Ion S
A strongly acidic cation exchange cellulose having general applicability in separations requiring a cation exchange step, the benefit of wide pH versatillity. The sulphoxyethyl functional group is fully ionized throughout the pH range 2-12.
