ASTM Precision Mercury Thermometers

Made and guaranteed to meet ASTM E1 specifications in every detail. The tubing used conforms to exacting specifications for composition and physical properties. Graduations, numbers and letters are deeply etched into the glass and filled with black pigment which is not affected by ordinary solvents. All thermometers are filled above the mercury column with an inert gas under pressure. Each thermometer has a unique serial number and a manufacturer's identification number which allows it to be certifiably traceable to NIST. Total immersion, 379 mm length.
