Guardian* Faucet-Mounted Eyewash Devices
Faucet-mounted eyewashes are designed to be installed in the immediate vicinity of a potential hazard. They provide a prompt flushing within the first few critical seconds following an eye injury. With the immediate flushing accomplished, the injured party can then proceed to a plumbed or self-contained eyewash station for a complete flushing. Faucet-mounted eyewashes are activated by turning the faucet on and then pulling the knob.
These devices are classified as secondary (personal) devices and are intended to supplement and not replace a 15-minute flush capability primary device.
