Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

North 800 Series self-contained breathing apparatus incorporates state-of-the-art components for maximum performance. The soft silicone facepiece has a comfortable dual sealing flange for a superior fit, an oral/nasal mask to reduce fogging and "dead-air" space, a unique speech diaphragm for clear, distinct voice transmission and a super hard-coated polycarbonate lens that provides excellent optics and greater than 200 field of vision. The 800 Series SCBA features a "First Breath Release" design that automatically initiates and maintains a positive pressure inside the facepiece, and will provide more than 300 liters air per minute to the user during peak inhalation. The Kevlar*/Nomex* PBI* harness is fully padded and meets NFPA requirements for heat and flame resistance. The new harness and backplate are designed for comfort and proper weight distribution. NFPA compliant and NIOSH/MSHA approved.
