Whatman* Cellulose Nitrate (Type WCN) Membranes
Membranes offer higher strength, flexibility and are made to tolerate abuse during handling, loading and autoclaving without sacrificing integrity. Features include low extractable levels, narrow pore size distribution, increased temperature stability and reduced shrinkage. Membranes are manufactured under cleanroom conditions.
Plain White Circles
This standard membrane filter is for the majority of laboratory applications involving particles and cells in the range of 0.1 µm to 5.0 µm.
White Gridded Circles
Many microbiological techniques include colony counting after incubation as the standard method of quantification. Gridded filters have clearly defined grid lines spaced at 3.1 mm intervals. The special ink used is nontoxic and completely free from bacterial growth inhibitors.
White Sterile Circles
Membrane filters are available as individual sterile packs for microbiological laboratory use. They are supplied individually packed, with or without an absorbent pad included, in sealed polyester envelopes. Sterilized by ethylene oxide (EtO) gas. Individually sealed with absorbent pad in polyester envelope.
White Gridded Autoclave Packs
Autoclave filters are for those laboratories preferring to use membranes sterilized by autoclaving for microbiological work. These white gridded membranes, in packs with pads ready for laboratory autoclaving, are an excellent choice. Box of 10 sealed envelopes with 10 filters/pads in each.
