Whatman* Polycap* and Polydisc* HD Filters

The sterile Polycap HD (heavy duty) family of disposable filter capsules offers both high filtration efficiency and extreme purity due to the materials and methods of manufacture. They offer a broad capability between the gross paper filters and the microporous membranes used for absolute filtration.
Polycap HD:
MAPP (monofilament anisotropic polypropylene) filter media. Biosafe USP Class VI. Bonded and sealed with advanced fusion technology to reduce structure failures and leaching (contamination) of the filtrate. May be used within a broad range of solutions, pH, temperatures, time and pressures in the forward and reverse direction. Manual vent with Luer lock can function to bleed air from upstream or serve as an injection or sample port.
Polydisc HD:
An all-polypropylene filter device. The filter media is MAPP (monofilament anisotropic polypropylene). Designed to provide disposable filters with high flow rates and long life for fine filtration. These filters are ideal for removing particulate in the fine filtration range of 0.45 µm to 150 µm.
Note: Water flow rate is liquid rating. Efficiency in gas streams is significantly higher. Recommended tubing 6 - 10 mm (1/4 - 3/8 in.) ID; Also accepts male Luers 12 mm (1/2 in.) HD hose.
