An excellent alternative to ice buckets and waterbaths, this reliable electronic cooling, freezing and heating unit is suitable for storing frozen restriction enzymes or DNA libraries, nick translation or ligation reactions, warm incubation of microtubes and storage of oocytes. Press-to-set microprocessor controller and large easy-to-read LCD display. Peltier effect heat pumps use no compressors or CFCs. Includes two machined aluminum blocks each with a capacity for 14 x 1.5 ml microcentrifuge tubes. Block has a self-contained recessed handle for easy transport. Additional modules for 0.5, 1.5 or 0.5/1.5 ml tubes are available.
