The MultiGene Personal Thermal Cycler combines a versatile and precise cycling unit with PC-based software. Features a heated lid for oil-free cycling, an infinite number of programs, 120 steps per program, 99-second step time, hold/pause facility, temperature increment/decrement, time increment/decrement and free software upgrades available from the internet. Requires a 386 computer or higher with Windows* 3.1, 95 or 98. RS-232 connection. Volume-based algorithm temperature control produces a temperature range of 10 to 99.9°C, with ±0.3°C uniformity. Block capacity of 20 x 0.2 ml, 16 x 0.5 ml tubes, or 2 slides. Dimensions are 155 x 250 x 223 mm (W x D x H). 3.5 kg shipping weight. 115/230V selectable.
