Protector fiberglass and stainless steel multi-hazard glove boxes provide a physical barrier to protect the operator from hazardous materials such as low level radioisotopes, non-biohazardous bacteriological agents and carcinogens. Replacement inlet or outlet HEPA filter or optional second outlet filter for removal of particulate contaminants available. Carbon filter provides an optional second outlet filter for removal of gaseous organic contaminants in low level radioisotope or chemical carcinogen applications. Exterior is epoxy-coated 18 and 20 gauge steel. Interior is one-piece molded fiberglass or stainless steel. Laminated safety glass window, angled 10 degrees, 3/8 in. thick, with viewing area of 36 in. wide x 25.6 in. Window frame is 12 gauge steel with one-piece molded neoprene dual seal gasket. Two glove ports, with 8 in. ID centers mounted 17 in. apart, are constructed of epoxy-coated aluminum with molded neoprene dual seal gaskets. Transfer chamber, interior dimensions: (W x D x H in.) 11 x 20 x 13, has clear acrylic plastic or stainless steel inner and outer doors that pivot upward, are counterbalanced and equipped with quick-latches. Control panel on the front of the transfer chamber has glove box static pressure gauge, blower speed control knob and control switches for the fluorescent lamp and two interior electrical outlets. Includes one pair 0.015 gauge, size 9 3/4 neoprene gloves with clamps; a 1/8 hp adjustable speed motor/blower; inlet control damper; inlet polyester prefilter; inlet and outlet 99.99% efficient HEPA filters; 3 in. square exhaust collar; 30-watt fluorescent lamp mounted externally; two interior-mounted, 115 volt electrical outlets with 9 amp maximum combined rating; two manual reset circuit breakers; and a 6-foot, 3-wire cord. One-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
