Scienceware* Liquid Nitrogen-Cooled Mortar

Grind frozen tissue samples without the hazard of liquid nitrogen droplets flying onto personnel. A 304 stainless steel mortar is suspended by three brackets above a stainless steel bowl which holds liquid nitrogen. The bowl is contained within a heavily insulated blue polyethylene housing. The mortar has a 4 in. (102 mm) long, removable, insulated handle. Housing measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. (165 x 114 mm) and has three suction-cup feet. Pestle not included.
